Advertising virtual cards: payments and project funds
Choose Pikabao segments accepted for advertising and organize funds and records by project. Approved advertisers may hold up to 30 unclosed cards. Check channel payment modes, authentication and read-only limits before issuing.
The most-used platforms for ad campaigns
These platforms illustrate payment uses, not acceptance for every account, region or plan. Review official payment rules before paying. See the platform directory for more entries.

MCC 7311 and advertising acceptance
MCC is a merchant category code; 7311 denotes advertising services. Confirm transaction classification and segment acceptance with support. Do not assume every platform transaction uses it or that issuance automatically whitelists it.
Prepare channel details
Confirm the channel, billing country, currency and payment mode before issuing.
Confirm the current segment
Ask support whether the selected segment supports the ad transaction.
Separate category and merchant rules
Category acceptance does not override prepaid-card restrictions, eligibility or authentication.
Advertising card slots and project allocation
Standard users may hold up to 5 unclosed cards; approved advertising users up to 30. Frozen, idle and inactive cards count until closure completes. Idle cards are not automatically closed.
Standard users: up to 5 cards
Allocate by actual accounts, projects and bills; one card per account is not mandatory.
Approved advertisers: up to 30 cards
Apply and confirm current permissions, segments and fees before arranging bulk issuance.
Team permissions and reconciliation
Ask about current sub-account or team features; do not assume automatic access or no per-card checks.
Each card has an issuing fee. Allocate for actual campaigns, not merely to fill available slots.
Project funds, platform budgets and team reconciliation
Budgets and alerts
Platform budgets: set daily and total budgets and alerts in the channel and check its billing rules.
Funds on each card
Card funds: fund expected thresholds and bills; account balance is not automatically available on a card.
Transaction restrictions
Read-only limits: review daily, monthly and other restrictions. Funding does not raise them; users cannot adjust them.
Project records
Records and permissions: reconcile last four digits, billing entities, amounts, currencies and access by operator or project.
Record ad-platform spend, unbilled amounts, payment records and card transactions separately. Campaign, billing and card-settlement dates may differ. Compare the same currency and period, then check taxes, refunds and adjustments.
After campaigns: debts, holds and balance recovery
Pause campaigns and review channel bills
Review unsettled spend, thresholds and debts. Pausing does not cancel accrued costs.
Resolve card holds and refunds
Check pending holds and expected refunds under current rules; do not close cards as a test.
Recover funds or retain cards as needed
Eligible remaining funds return under the closure rules and slots release when closure completes. Account withdrawals cost $3 with a 24-hour cooldown.
Account withdrawals, card closure and merchant refunds are different processes. Check incurred fees against the refund policy and current breakdown.
Facebook, Google and TikTok payment channels
| Channel | Checks | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Ad-account ownership, bills and saved payment methods | Facebook ad payments | |
| Google Ads | Billing country, currency, automatic/manual payments and card-type restrictions | Google Ads payments |
| TikTok Ads | Billing region, currency, payment mode and available methods | TikTok Ads payments |
Methods vary by country, currency and billing mode; avoid ranking channels by supposed sensitivity. Check Google Ads payment guidance and TikTok payment guidance.
Choosing a channel is not only choosing a card network. Prepaid balances, automatic payments and monthly invoicing have different fund flows. Confirm the mode in the specific ad account; an older guide or another country account does not define current rules.
Prepaid billing
Check how ad-platform credit is funded, spent and refunded. Platform credit is separate from card funds; a completed top-up does not establish all later campaign requirements.
Automatic billing
Review charging rules and billing dates in the current account and fund accrued charges. Do not infer amounts from another account or substitute removing a card for paying debts.
Advertising segments and fees
Visa virtual cards
Choose an accepted advertising-capable segment when comparing several online uses.
Mastercard virtual cards
An independent option alongside Visa, chosen by acceptance, purpose and authentication.
Card and slot planning
Review regions, fees, read-only limits and actual issuing permissions by project.
Pikabao separates issuing, account deposits and card funding. Spendable card funds are not all fees.
| Fee stage | Fee terms |
|---|---|
| Issuing fee | From $1, as shown for the selected segment |
| Account-deposit fee | $0; minimum USDT account deposit $20 |
| Card-funding fee | 3%, calculated on the card-funding amount |
| Holding fees | No monthly, annual or idle fee |
| Account-balance withdrawal | $3 per withdrawal, with a 24-hour security cooldown; separate from merchant refunds |
At the same 3% rate, funding $100 costs $3, as do two $50 fundings in total. Fewer cards can reduce issuing fees; fewer funding transactions alone do not reduce this percentage fee. Check pricing and the submission breakdown for other transaction fees.
Frequently asked questions
Visa or Mastercard for ad campaigns?
Consider either when accepted and advertising-capable. Check country, currency, payment mode, card-type restrictions and authentication; network alone does not guarantee acceptance.
How many cards can an advertising user hold?
Standard users may hold up to 5 unclosed cards; approved advertising users up to 30. Frozen, idle and inactive cards count until closure completes. Idle cards are not automatically closed.
Can card funds be recovered after campaigns stop?
Eligible remaining funds can be recovered under current rules. Resolve debts, holds and refunds first. Slots release on completed closure; account withdrawals cost $3 with a 24-hour cooldown.
Is a reversed authorization always an MCC issue?
No. It may involve merchant reversal, authentication, funds, category or account rules. Retain the status and channel error; distinguish refunds, reversals and declines.
Can I set a card limit as an ad budget?
No. Limits are read-only and funding does not raise them. Set budgets and alerts in the channel; card funds cannot guarantee prevention of overspend or accrued charges.
Do separate project cards isolate team risk?
They help funding, records and reconciliation, without guaranteed account or merchant-risk isolation. Confirm current team or sub-account permissions and review bills individually.
Are advertising fees different from other uses?
Base terms are issuing from $1, $0 account deposits and 3% card funding, without monthly, annual or idle fees. Check current segment and other transaction fees.
Are idle cards automatically closed after campaigns?
No. Idle cards retain their slots. An expiry reminder arrives one week beforehand; resolve channel debts, holds and refunds before closure.
How should I reconcile ad spend against card transactions?
Match currency and billing period first. Review spend, issued bills, pending debits and settlement separately, then taxes, refunds and adjustments. Spend dates need not be card-debit dates; retain invoices and transaction references.
Arrange accepted segments and funds for ad projects
Check merchant acceptance, fees and read-only limits. Complete account verification, then fund your selected card for the actual bill.
