Hong Kong virtual cards: payment details and funds

Pikabao Hong Kong virtual cards provide payment details (card number, CVV, expiry date, address, postal code, name) without a physical card for accepted online payments. An HK BIN identifies the issuing region, not Hong Kong residency, merchant-account eligibility or guaranteed payment.

Use actual card records

Use card details to enter the cardholder and billing information required by the merchant. Shipping and billing addresses are separate; do not invent details.

Choose from current networks

Check available Hong Kong segments and their Visa / Mastercard network at issuance, then confirm virtual-card, network and authentication support.

Per-card funds and records

Account balance and individual card funds are separate. Allocate funds by subscription or project and review available funds, holds and transactions for reconciliation.

Issuing region is not currency

An HK BIN and HKD billing are different attributes. Check billing currency, order currency and settlement separately; HKD pricing alone does not require an HK card.

Common uses for Hong Kong virtual cards

These are common uses and pre-payment checks, not an acceptance promise for every merchant. Filter for suitable HK-issued segments when explicitly required; otherwise choose by network, purpose, authentication and costs.

Hong Kong online merchants

Check selected virtual-card acceptance for shopping, online services and local subscriptions. HK issuance does not guarantee no cross-border classification, lowest fees or universal support.

Hong Kong digital subscriptions

Check App Store, Apple Music and streaming by account market, plan and official payment methods. An HK card does not replace eligibility or imply all subscriptions require HK issuance.

Software, cloud services and SaaS

Confirm product regions, card types and recurring-payment support. Assess AI subscriptions and API funding separately; confirm segment support separately for advertising.

HKD orders and cross-border shopping

Check merchant bills, card billing currency and settlement terms using actual fees. An HK BIN alone guarantees neither HKD billing nor one fewer currency conversion.

Fees and four steps to issue a card

Account deposits and card funding are separate steps. After account credit, fund the card intended for payment; adding funds does not increase transaction limits.

Account-deposit fee$0Account balance is separate from card funds
Card-funding fee3%Calculated on card funding

Example: crediting $20 to a card incurs a $0.60 funding fee at 3%, deducting $20.60 from account balance. A new card also incurs its one-time issuing fee. Use the merchant checkout page for the actual bill.

Create an account

Register with your regularly used email and verify it. Keep notifications accessible.

Complete account and identity checks

Submit accurate details and complete current checks. Follow actual review and document-request status; one-time-code tools do not establish identity verification.

Fund account balance

USDT account deposits start at $20 with a $0 account-deposit fee. Check currency, network and address, confirm credit, and budget for issuing and card-funding fees.

Select an HK segment and fund it

Choose an available HK segment; check network, purpose, fees, read-only limits and slots. Review issuing status and payment details, then fund the card for the actual bill.

Confirmed HK segment suitability? Open a card

Complete verification, selection and funding as prompted. Ask about merchant requirements if unsure.

HK BIN: scenarios to check individually

Check acceptance for each product using current merchant rules. An HK BIN does not establish US-account eligibility or imply that every US-region payment will fail. Use the issuing region as a filter only when the merchant explicitly restricts it.

US and HK BINs: selection criteria and shared checks

Check explicit issuing-region requirements first, then card network, account eligibility, billing, authentication and fees. US and HK BINs describe issuance, not payment-success rankings. Subscription market or order currency alone is not enough to choose.

US BIN

When a merchant explicitly requires US issuance, choose a suitable US segment and also check your account eligibility and product acceptance.

Card management and service boundaries

Optional funding buffer
Consider an extra $1–3 in available card funds for differences some merchants apply based on region or taxes. This is not a fixed fee or a difference on every payment. Fund the actual amount if a difference or hold exceeds this range.
Idle cards and card slots
Idle cards are not automatically closed. Standard users may hold up to 5 unclosed cards; approved advertising users up to 30. Frozen, idle and inactive cards count until closure completes.
Reminder one week before expiry
The platform reminds you one week before expiry. Issue a new card if needed, update saved merchant payment details and check subscription billing before handling the old card.
Limits and per-card management
Per-transaction and daily limits are read-only and cannot be adjusted by users. Separate cards help funding and reconciliation, not guaranteed risk isolation. Different BINs do not override merchant-account eligibility.
Authentication and payment issues
Complete 3DS through the supported channel and keep contact details accessible. After failure, check decline messages, records, available funds and holds. Retain evidence and avoid blind retries.

Hong Kong virtual cards serve lawful online payments where accepted, without a credit facility, receiving account or ATM withdrawals. An HK BIN does not replace residency, merchant-account eligibility or product conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Hong Kong virtual card the same as a Hong Kong physical bank card?

Hong Kong virtual cards provide payment details (card number, CVV, expiry date, address, postal code, name) without a physical card for accepted online payments. They provide neither credit nor ATM withdrawals and are not Hong Kong bank accounts or physical bank cards.

How do I tell whether a card is a true HK-region BIN?

Check card details and issuer information. Third-party BIN lookups may help identify issuance but can be incomplete or outdated; do not submit a complete card number. HK issuance differs from HKD billing and does not establish residency.

Can a Hong Kong virtual card be used to switch to a US-region Apple ID?

Check official Apple payment methods, eligibility and billing rules for the region and product. An HK BIN does not confer US-account eligibility or imply every US-region payment will fail. Filter by issuance where explicitly restricted.

Does a Hong Kong virtual card work on ChatGPT?

Check the selected segment against current ChatGPT regions, card types, billing and authentication. BIN region alone does not determine approval; observations of other segments are not HK-segment evidence. Assess subscriptions and API funding separately; OpenAI API credits do not accept prepaid cards.

Does PIKABAO Virtual Cards offer a Hong Kong card?

Confirm Hong Kong segments in current issuance options. Check issuing region, network, purpose, fees and read-only limits, then follow actual issuing status. HK issuance does not imply acceptance by every Hong Kong merchant.

What should I do if I need HK right now?

Check whether the merchant requires HK issuance and accepts the segment. Complete account checks and funding, select an HK segment and fund the card. Check eligibility, billing currency and authentication separately, not HKD pricing alone.

Can HK-region and US BINs be held in the same account?

They can be managed in the same account as needed. Account balance and card funds are separate. Standard users may hold up to 5 unclosed cards; approved advertising users up to 30. Frozen, idle and inactive cards count until closure completes. Separate cards do not guarantee risk isolation.

Do HK cards cost more in fees?

One-time issuing fees start at $1, with no monthly or annual fee, $0 account-deposit fees and 3% card-funding fees. Confirm issuing fees for the selected segment and check merchant bills, card billing and settlement currencies separately. An HK BIN alone does not guarantee lowest total cost.
